SoundCloud's API is free for registered apps. New API access is currently gated; SoundCloud paused new API key registrations and accepts requests on a case-by-case basis. Consumer plans (SoundCloud Free, Go, Go+, Artist Pro, Pro Unlimited) are separate and apply to listeners and creators, not API consumers.
