Hbku Plans Pricing
Hamad Bin Khalifa University sells nothing through an API. Both interfaces it operates — the Fanar API and the Farasa Web API, each run by the Qatar Computing Research Institute — are free of charge and gated by a key you request rather than buy. Neither publishes a price, a paid tier or a billing surface; Fanar instead publishes a per-model rate-limit table and says higher throughput is arranged by contacting the team. This file was rewritten on 2026-08-30: the version it replaces described plans for library, course and repository interfaces the university does not operate.
Hbku Plans Pricing is the machine-readable pricing-plan profile for Hamad Bin Khalifa University on the APIs.io network, conforming to the API Commons Plans specification.
It defines 2 plans, covering free tiers, with named plans including Fanar API — Requested Access, Farasa Web API — Registered Access.
Tagged areas include Education, Higher Education, University, and Plans.
Plans
Free API access granted on request at https://api.fanar.qa/request/en. Default quotas are per-model: 50 requests/minute for the chat, guard and poetry models, 10-20 requests/day for the speech, vision, image-generation and translation models. Higher or tailored limits are negotiated directly with the provider.
Free API access after registration at https://farasa.qcri.org. QCRI states the web service is free of charge and that registration exists for security rather than metering. No quota is published and none could be measured without a key.
