Bifrost is an open-source AI gateway distributed under Apache 2.0 with two commercial shapes — a free, fully-featured self-hosted OSS edition (no published usage caps) and a custom-priced Enterprise edition for VPC, on-premise, and air-gapped deployments. Bifrost itself does not bill per request; LLM provider costs flow through transparently to whichever upstream provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) the gateway routes to.
