Azure Health Data Services uses a pay-as-you-go model billed on service runtime (per hour), structured storage (per GB-month SSD-backed), throughput (RU/s for FHIR), DICOM image storage (per GB-month), MedTech messages processed, and de-identification data volume (per MB). A monthly free allotment is included for trial purposes (50 MB for de-identification; FHIR and DICOM include a free monthly allowance as well). Enterprise customers can use Azure Reserved Capacity for discounted commitments.
