Deep Lake is dual-natured. The core `deeplake` Python SDK, TQL engine, and data format are open source under Apache-2.0 and free to use against your own storage (local, S3, Azure, GCP). The managed Activeloop Cloud / Managed Tensor Database is a hosted, usage-priced service with a free Basic tier, a pay-as-you-go Scale tier, and a custom Enterprise tier. Published cloud rates observed include roughly $23 per TB/month storage, $0.15-$0.3375/hour compute, and data transfer from ~$0.09/GB. Tier limits and rates change frequently and are not reconciled here.
