description: Add the production base path alongside the sandbox one. Mercedes-Benz publishes only the
*_tryout sandbox document; the production path is the same path with the _tryout suffix removed. Recorded
    as a DERIVATION — see sandbox/mercedes-me-sandbox.yml — not as a value read from a Mercedes-Benz document.
  update:
    x-environments:
      sandbox: https://api.mercedes-benz.com/configurator_tryout/v1
      production: https://api.mercedes-benz.com/configurator/v1

description: 'Add the API key security scheme the contract describes in prose but does not declare.
Every operation in the source document returns 401 "Failed to resolve API Key query parameter / Invalid
API Key", yet the document carries no securityDefinitions at all, so no machine can discover how to
authenticate. The parameter NAME is deliberately left as a variable: Mercedes-Benz does not publish
it in any machine-readable place we could read, and inventing one would be worse than leaving the
    gap visible.'
  update:
    securityDefinitions:
      MercedesBenzApiKey:
        type: apiKey
        in: query
        name: REPLACE_WITH_PORTAL_DOCUMENTED_PARAMETER_NAME
description: Developer-portal API key for the subscribed product, passed as a query parameter.
The exact parameter name is documented only on developer.mercedes-benz.com, which is a client-rendered
SPA and cannot be read by a non-browser client. Obtain it from the product page before use.

    x-error-envelope:
      rfc9457: false
      shape: '{"errorMessage": string, "statusCode": string|integer, "message": string}'
note: statusCode is a string on 401 and an integer on 429 from the same gateway.

    x-idempotency:
      supported: false
note: No idempotency key on any write operation. A retried POST duplicates the effect.
