Wikivoyage Finops
Wikivoyage is a free, non-profit project of the Wikimedia Foundation. Its public APIs carry zero direct monetary cost to consumers. There are no usage fees, metered billing, or paid tiers for the MediaWiki Action API or MediaWiki Core REST API. Financial sustainability is maintained through the Wikimedia Foundation's donor-funded model. FinOps considerations for Wikivoyage API consumers are therefore focused on operational efficiency, infrastructure costs on the consumer side, and responsible use of shared public infrastructure rather than API spend management.
