Kubernetes Services Finops
FOCUS-aligned FinOps for the Kubernetes Services API: the abstraction itself is free open source, but real spend appears on the cloud-provider invoice when Services of type LoadBalancer provision cloud LBs, when NodePort/ClusterIP traffic crosses zones, or when external IPs and egress are billed. FinOps signal therefore comes from the underlying cloud bill, allocated back to Services via labels and CCM annotations.
Kubernetes Services Finops is the FinOps profile for Kubernetes Services on the APIs.io network, aligned with the FinOps Foundation Framework.
It defines 5 billable meters, billed in USD, on a n/a cycle, and pricing category open source (no license fee).
The profile maps 5 FOCUS columns for cost-allocation reporting.
Tagged areas include FinOps, FOCUS, Kubernetes, Networking, and Open Source.
