Konfig · FinOps Profile

Konfig Api Finops

FinOps view of Konfig spend. While Konfig operated, cost was a subscription driven mainly by the number of client-library SDKs a publisher generated and kept updated, weighed against the engineering cost of hand-maintaining those SDKs (Konfig positioned this as roughly the cost of one to two full-time engineers). Since Konfig was sunset in December 2024 and open-sourced under MIT, the live cost model is self-hosted: your own compute for running the generator plus the maintenance effort, with no vendor invoice. Downstream, publishing generated SDKs incurs only the (typically free or low) costs of the target package registries.
