The entry carries mdui:DisplayName "The University of Waikato", shibmd:Scope waikato.ac.nz, the REFEDS Research & Scholarship entity category and REFEDS Sirtfi assurance certification, and it is exported to eduGAIN — verified in both aggregates 2026-09-01. The identity, the users and the attribute release are the institution's. The IdP deployment is not: every SingleSignOnService and SingleLogoutService Location resolves to hosted-login.tuakiri.ac.nz/hosting/waikato.ac.nz/idp/ and the signing certificate CN is hosted-login.tuakiri.ac.nz/hosting/waikato.ac.nz, so the university runs on REANNZ's Tuakiri Hosted IdP service. Recorded as the institution's federation membership, not as its engineering.
