Institution-operated Shibboleth SAML 2.0 identity provider, registered in the UK Access Management Federation and visible in eduGAIN. entityID urn:mace:eduserv.org.uk:athens:provider:liv.ac.uk, mdui:DisplayName "University of Liverpool", scope liv.ac.uk, registrationAuthority http://ukfederation.org.uk, Sirtfi asserted. The federation MDQ service serves the metadata live — 200, 9,390 bytes — and the IdP self-publishes the same document at https://shibboleth3.liv.ac.uk/idp/shibboleth (200, application/xml). SSO endpoints run under https://shibboleth3.liv.ac.uk/idp/profile/SAML2/{Redirect,POST, POST-SimpleSign}/SSO with SLO and SAML1 SOAP artifact resolution on port 8443; the Redirect/SSO endpoint returns 400 to a parameterless GET, which is a live IdP rejecting a malformed AuthnRequest. Two non-production entities registered under the same institution (shibboleth2.liv.ac.uk "University of Liverpool (TEST do not use)" and shibboleth3.liv.ac.uk "University of Liverpool - Test") are excluded as placeholders. A federation is shared by definition; the IdP behind this entry is Liverpool's.
