GRO.data (Göttingen Research Online) Research Data Repository

GRO.data is the Göttingen Campus research-data repository, operated by the Göttingen eResearch Alliance and hosted at GWDG on data.goettingen-research-online.de. The deployment, the data and the DOIs are Göttingen's — DataCite client SUBGOE.GRO holds prefix 10.25625 — but the REST and OAI contracts are Dataverse's, not the university's. Thirty-two split OpenAPI documents describing Dataverse 6.4, re-titled "GRO.data Dataverse REST …" and attributed to the university, were removed from this repository on 2026-08-30 for exactly that reason; the relationship is kept, the vendor's contract is not. Both this host and publications.goettingen-research-online.de currently sit behind a proof-of-work bot challenge that answers 403 to programmatic clients, so neither the REST API nor the OAI-PMH endpoint is reachable to a harvester.
