Leiden University's IDPSSODescriptor is published in the SURFconext national identity federation aggregate operated by SURF B.V., carrying mdui:DisplayName "Leiden University" and shibmd:Scope leidenuniv.nl. A federation is shared by definition; the entity inside it is Leiden's. The federation is operationally live — an anonymous request to Leiden's Brightspace tenancy redirects to engine.surfconext.nl with a SAMLRequest. SURFconext's own contract is SURF's and is not saved here.
