RADAR4KIT Research Data Repository (RADAR tenancy)

RADAR4KIT is KIT's interdisciplinary research-data repository for archiving and publishing research data with DOI assignment. It is a tenancy on the RADAR service operated by FIZ Karlsruhe, served on KIT's own host radar.kit.edu with data stored exclusively on KIT IT infrastructure at the Scientific Computing Center. Verified 2026-09-01: radar.kit.edu redirects to /radar/en/home (200) and the backend at /radar-backend/ answers 401 with a JSON error body, so the API is live and correctly gated. Access requires an OAuth 2.0 client ID and a dedicated API user activated by RADAR; Shibboleth accounts are not accepted for API access. The RADAR Archive API contract — contracts, workspaces, datasets, folders, files, WebDAV upload — is FIZ Karlsruhe's product and is documented on their host; it is NOT saved under KIT's name. What is KIT's is the tenancy, the data, and the DOIs: DataCite registers repository client TIB.KIT4RADAR named "RADAR4KIT" pointing at https://radar.kit.edu/.
