Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin operates its own Shibboleth/SAML identity provider, entityID https://shib-idp.cms.hu-berlin.de/idp/shibboleth, registered by DFN-AAI (registrationAuthority https://www.aai.dfn.de) and published to eduGAIN with IDPSSODescriptor and AttributeAuthorityDescriptor roles and eccs_status 1, read from the eduGAIN technical database on 2026-09-01. A second HU entity, the service provider https://korpling-auth.german.hu-berlin.de/shibboleth, is registered in the same federation. The federation aggregate is shared by definition; the IdP behind it is HU's own, which is why this is recorded rather than discarded. CAVEAT: the IdP's own metadata URL returns 200 XML but serves Shibboleth's stock example metadata with entityID idp-dev.cms.hu-berlin.de — the authoritative metadata is the DFN-AAI aggregate.
