ETH Zurich Identity Provider (SWITCHaai / eduGAIN)

ETH Zurich operates a Shibboleth SAML 2.0 Identity Provider with entityID https://aai-logon.ethz.ch/idp/shibboleth, published in the signed SWITCHaai federation metadata aggregate and reachable through eduGAIN. The EntityDescriptor carries an IDPSSODescriptor with SAML 2.0 HTTP-Redirect, HTTP-POST, POST-SimpleSign and SOAP bindings plus SAML 1.0 artifact resolution and attribute query. 308 of the 1,960 entities in the aggregate sit under an ethz.ch host, making ETH the largest single institutional participant in the Swiss federation. This is a machine-readable, institution-operated surface and it is the surface class this cohort most consistently fails to record.
