It returns securitytrimmed, relevanceranked, and personalized results based on the users permissions and work signals. Developers can target specific entity types (such as files, messages, events, sites, chats, people, and external items), apply filters, facets, and sorting, and even retrieve answers like bookmarks or Q&A, enabling tailored search experiences in custom apps, portals, or Teams.
