Clerk is priced primarily on monthly active users (MAU) rather than on API calls - the Backend API, Frontend API, and webhooks are included with every plan. The Free (Hobby) tier includes a monthly-active-user allowance at no cost. The Pro plan adds a flat monthly platform fee plus a small per-additional monthly-active-user overage above the included allowance, removes Clerk branding, and includes production features. The Business plan adds more dashboard seats and compliance (SOC 2). Enterprise is custom with SLAs, HIPAA BAA, and dedicated support. B2B / organization features are metered separately on monthly active organizations (MAO), and enterprise SSO connections (SAML/OIDC) are billed per connection.
