Wagtail API v3, a preview introduced in Wagtail 8.0 and built on Django Ninja, adds authenticated CMS writes to content reads: create and update pages, images, documents and snippets, save draft revisions and publish them under the editor's permissions. Each installation generates its own OpenAPI schema, which is how clients and agents discover the content types, fields and operations a site exposes. Wagtail describes it as the new API to automate common CMS tasks.
