A `LabelTemplate` defines the format for printing physical labels for inventory items, such as containers, plates, and boxes. Each template contains a template string, `zplTemplate`, that is populated with item data and sent to a compatible label printer. Template strings typically use ZPL (Zebra Programming Language), but for the most part, Benchling code treats them in a language agnostic way, and they can contain other printer languages, such as JScript, to work with less common printers. `LabelTemplate`s are associated with a Registry and enable consistent barcode labeling across an organization's inventory. `LabelTemplate`s can include dynamic fields for barcodes, names, dates, and custom metadata.
