The Avamar REST API provides a framework to develop applications and tools that interact with a stand-alone Avamar server. It exposes backup, restore, client, domain, dataset, retention, policy, plugin and activity resources over HTTPS on the Avamar server itself. Third-party clients are registered as OAuth 2.0 clients and call the API with a bearer access token. A Swagger UI served from the appliance at /api/swagger-ui.html carries the complete operation and object-model listing.
